Community Farm West Virginia
Mission Statement: We are inspired to build a foundation where people gather. Gather to work and give back to the soil and land. To distribute healthy, colorful, chemical free, varieties of vegetables, berries, herbs and flowers. We are dedicated to sustainable, low impact forms of agriculture. This land is a sacred space for individuals to share, create, practice and learn. The means which we offer are yoga, meditation and dance. We invite in any other creative art form that will assist in the expansion of the community. We would like to hold weekly classes, monthly workshops and retreats. "Organic agriculture is a production system that sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people. It relies on ecological processes, biodiversity and cycles adapted to local conditions, rather than the use of inputs with adverse effects. Organic agriculture combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote fair relationships and a good quality of life for all involved.." —International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements |
